Viscose jersey 

is made using natural fibres to create a slinky fabric with amazing drape, stretch it is breathable and cool against the skin, viscose jersey fabric is a perfect choice for dresses, floaty tops, skirts, shorts etc.

Viscose is known as a semi synthetic fibre, due to the way it’s made, it is made from natural fibres which gives us all the great advantages you would expect from natural fibres, but it is created by man using chemicals and machinery to break down the wood fibres to give a soft silky fabric.

in past times viscose was often referred to as imitation silk.

we recommend washing your fabric on it’s own the first time as there can sometimes be some dye residue left over from dying/printing process 

natural fabrics can have some shrinkage, this is expected with natural fibres and washing before cutting your pattern is recommended

Caring for your fabrics & handmade items

Always wash your fabric on its own for the first wash.

Fabrics may have dye or print residue left over from the print / dye process.

You should avoid washing your fabrics with zips, Velcro etc and ensure fastenings are closed before washing finished garments.

Natural fibres will have a small percentage of shrinkage, washing your fabric prior to cutting your fabric is recommended.
